Xentis Mark 1 – carbon & Tubular

Carbon stands for high performance
The MARK 1-Laufräder are the basic models. Their trailblazing aerodynamics are made possible by the direction-sensitive aero-profile, the high-performance material carbon makes extremely quiet light-weight wheels for ambitious biking athletes.
The name says it all.
Clincher Carbon is – as the name says – the clincher model with patented carbon braking surface. There is no need to go without the advantages of an inner tube and cover, and still there is a savings in weight of 250 g compared to the aluminium model. The excellent aerodynamics and the optimised weight provide a racing feeling even in everyday use. By the way, Xentis wheels are designed for system weights (rider and complete wheel) of up to 125 kg.
Mark 1 Clincher Carbon

Braking is done on carbon. The carbon braking surface of MARK1 was developed for standard brake pads, special carbon brake pads are neither recommended nor are they required. The patented braking surface guarantees smooth and safe braking even in wet weather conditions.

Mark 1 Tubular

It just rolls on its own.
Tubular is the tubular tyre model. Up to 16 bar of pressure provide excellent rolling performance. The four narrow spokes in the direction-sensitive aero-profile stand for trailblazing aerodynamics at the lowest possible susceptibility to side wind. Ideal for semi-professional and professional applications.

Xentis Mark 1 TT – Clincher & Tubular

TT as in Time Trial
As the acronym reveals, the TT wheels are designed for beating the clock. They were developed in part in the wind tunnel at the Technical University in Graz. The result is aerodynamic performance second to none.
Mark 1 TT Clincher

Extremely fast and comfortable.
Clincher is the clincher wheel model, which means there is no need to do without the advantages of an inner tube and cover. A flat can be repaired anytime by anyone. In use, the high profile of the four spokes provides for characteristics similar to that of a disc wheel. Under side wind conditions there is a light sailing effect – and therefore propulsion. The active turbulator (wave-shaped grooves under the carbon braking surface) provide for less wind resistance (comparable to the surface of a golf ball). With features like these, active concentrated riding is essential.

Mark 1 TT Tubular

Borrowing from other sports.
Tubular is the tubular tyre designed for high pressure up to 16 bar and provides excellent rolling performance as a result. In use the profile of the four spokes develop similar characteristics to that of a disc wheel, i.e. a light sail effect occurs under side wind conditions – and with it propulsion. The wave-shaped grooves under the carbon braking surface simultaneously provide for surface pressure and a propulsion effect (comparable to the surface of a golf ball). With features like these, active concentrated riding is essential.
